I own the original hardcover English version of this book. I have read it twice so far. Review 2017: I've finished reading this more than two years ago. To be honest, this is the best book out of three in the Trilogy. It continues the story of Shadowhunters who had to follow the strict laws and were still facing prejudice among themselves. The characters are better explained and portrayed in this last book. They expose themselves more, their thoughts and actions were both clear and meaningful. The plot thickens in this very book, where many hard decisions have to be made. It may be due to the fact that this is the very last book of the series, so everything is well-explained, well-developed, and the ending has a great impact on readers. Still, I resent the fact that in "Clockwork Prince", little significance is portrayed; while in "Clockwork Princess", all the major twists and turns occur. To my very own surprise, however, I did shed tears and did enjoy reading this book. In the end, although Cassandra Clare's books are classified as young adult fantasy, they still carry weight with them. Lessons are to be learnt and emotions to be cherished. I personally give this one 4.75/5 stars, in terms of a YA fiction.
